Now in its fifth year, this weekend of cycling has something for everyone, whether you're a gold medal winner or a beginner. Kicking off at Lee Valley VeloPark, there's bike-based fun going on all over the city, including the Handcycle Grand Prix for injured veterans, BMX and youth races and the FreeCycle on Saturday, in which over 100,000 are expected to enjoy London's empty roads. On Sunday, 25,000 amateurs put pedal to metal in the fundraising 100-mile sportive through the glorious Surrey Hills countryside, building up to a thrilling finish in the MALL. The last event has 150 of the world's top cyclists starting from Horse Guards Parade before heading out into Surrey and returning to finish in The Mall.
